Frontline News!

This week's blog brings you unscrupulous mercenaries, awesome star-fighters and tusks. Well, one and a half tusks. It's time for another edition of Frontline News!

x wing second edition ffg

Reinforcements incoming! With X-Wing second edition covering classic Star Wars, First Order and Clone Wars eras, there's something for everyone with this new set of releases from FFG. The Xi-class shuttle provides cutting-edge tech to Snoke's forces, along with some dastardly elite pilots.

LAAT gunship clone wars

The iconic LAAT/i gunship is a versatile support vessel that enables players to bring Jedi heroes like Plo Koon to the starfield, while the characterful HMP Droid Gunship can be outfitted to deal with a variety of enemies and is crammed with heavy weapons systems.

halftusk godtear SFG

Steamforged Games have given Godtear players a closer look at Halftusk, the hulking and brutish warden of the Stonekin Isle. This guy hits like a truck and until he takes wounds, his attacks deal extra damage. Fortunately for Halftusk, he can also regenerate lost wounds, enabling him to soak up an incredible amount of damage as the game progresses. His troglodyte followers can enter objective hexes, making it more difficult for opponents to place those all-important banners.

stormcrow asoiaf

CMON have teased new images of the Stormcrow for A Song of Ice and Fire: The Miniatures Game! These skilful mercenaries are adaptable, with the option of gaining free attacks and lieutenants. If you're seeking a ranged attack option, the Stormcrow archers can also gain free attacks instead of regaining wounds, so armies designed to hit fast and hard, capitalising on enemy mistakes, are going to enjoy fielding these units.

adeptus sororitas sisters battle

We're still buzzing with excitement about the Adeptus Sororitas, and Games Workshop has released an article explaining how your Order Conviction choice will affect how your army fights. Stoic Endurance, for example, makes your troops hardier, shrugging off wounds and ignoring -1 Save modifiers.

These options give players the chance to tailor their forces depending on the threats you might be facing. Add an Imagifier to the list and you'll be able to select another option from the Litany of Deeds - giving you the edge you need.

So which Order Conviction will you be utilising in battle? And will the Stormcrow mercenaries be filling a gap in your battle line? Let us know!
