It's Monday, time to take a look at the latest releases in tabletop gaming with another edition of Frontline News!
Games Workshop's gang warfare skirmish game Necromunda continues do expand, with Forgeworld announcing two new mercs for pre-order. Appollus Kage and Krotos Hark, former Orlock and Goliath gangers, are tooled up for all manner of underhive action. As we've come to expect, the models are crammed with amazing details and are full of character.
Also up for pre-order are some new Ruffians and Hobbits for your Middle Earth battles!
With the Adeptus Astartes now getting a massive shot in the arm with a freshly invigorated set of Codexes and options for games of Warhammer 40,000, several new models are now up for pre-order too. Alongside the Invictor Tactical Warsuit and a Primaris Librarian stands a Primaris Captain in Phobos Armour.
He may be loaded up with all manner of guns, blades and grenades, but what draws me to the unit is the Omni-Scrambler. Being able to deny enemy units the opportunity of sneaking up on you is incredibly powerful, helping the Space Marines dictate the flow of battle.
Switching to A Song of Ice and Fire, the Tully Cavaliers will soon be available to every discerning general. Capable of delivering a truly line-shattering charge, their Cavalier's Lance attack marks them out as a unit to prize, or fear, depending on your point of view!
The Separatist Alliance has expanded its flotilla of ships with the Nantex Fighter. This new vessel for Star Wars X-Wing 2.0 may be inexpensive and shieldless but its unpredictable movement and mobile arc make it tough for enemies to avoid its fire.
Fantasy Flight Games has also revealed the new Shoretroopers expansion for Legion. With superior blaster rifles and accuracy, they also have access to mortars to suppress from distance.
As always there's so much more going on in the industry, and it's awesome to see these games develop with new and exciting units and options. So how will you be reinforcing your armies this week?
