Sisters of Battle players have plenty of reasons to rejoice in the wake of Games Workshop's New Year Open Day 2020. With a whole host of stunning new models, you'll be able to melt, burn and blow your opponents apart! The Penitent Engines are exquisitely (and grimly) detailed, and the plastic kits allow these large models to be posed in a more dynamic way, lurching towards the foe with flaying and slaying in mind.
New units like the Zephyrim, Retributors and Battle Sanctum are on their way, enabling players to put a formidable force together using just the new models. We think you'll agree that they look beautiful. Start preparing your wallets for the onslaught now!
Continuing with the theme of highly-skilled warrior women from the grimdark, Tau heroine O'Shaserra - AKA Commander Shadowsun - is getting a fantastic new sculpt. We love this dynamic pose, and the option of a helmed or bare-headed design. With flechette launchers and fusion blasters, she's a veritable arsenal that can deal with any threat.
Warhammer Underworlds continues to grow with a new warband for Beastgrave: Hrothgorn's Mantrappers. With his pet monster and a rabble of greenskin lackeys, he's going hunting and every other warband is on the menu!
Games Workshop has given us all a glimpse of the rules for the new Endless Spells for followers of Tzeentch. With these new sorceries, you'll be able to spawn extra limbs to boost your attacks, turn models into Chaos Spawn, re-roll casting rolls, reduce the bravery of enemy units and more. The models are gorgeous and I can see miniature painters having a blast with these.
Forge World have put a new Blood Bowl Thrower on the transfer market. Gloriel Summerbloom isn't just a perfect display miniature, her rules can be found in several places including the Head Coach's Handbook, so you can field her as soon as you've got her painted!
Switching our focus to a galaxy far, far away, Fantasy Flight Games have released more information on the Imperial, First Order and Scum pilots found in the Hotshots and Aces Reinforcements Pack for X-Wing 2.0. Add critical damage with the Fifth Brother, drop devices all over the place with Vagabond, get the most out of reinforce tokens with Morna Kee and ensure that your turret is always facing the enemy with Nom Lumb. There are some awesome abilities here for pilots from every faction.
Finally, there's a new champion on the way for Godtear! Lorsann can fire and fade, offering players the ability to reposition, and can also maximise damage against targets that have already been wounded!
