Put down your Star Wars Armada tokens for just one second… there’s something you have to do. That’s right, we’re talking about sparing two minutes of your precious gaming time to sit back and check out the latest trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
This particular movie is set before A New Hope and follows a team of have-a-go heroes who find themselves tasked with the unenviable duty of having to steal the plans for the Death Star, the terrifying new weapon that the Empire has developed.
The trailer opens with Imperial forces bearing down on a farm, where Galen Erso is comforting his daughter Jyn, telling her that he’s doing it to protect her. Then cut to the adult Jyn who finds herself waking up in a prison cell. You’ll also see Alliance forces breaking her out of jail… but then you’ll have to wait until December 16th in order to find out just what happens.
We here at Art of War certainly can’t wait until the festive season, not because it’s Christmas, but because this movie will finally be out, something that we’ve been waiting for since the last film hit cinema screens. We’re all on absolute tenterhooks!
We’ve also just read that Ewan McGregor is keen to make a comeback as the one and only Obi-Wan Kenobi, telling Premier magazine that he’s hoping Disney will be exploring different parts of the Star Wars story… so who knows? We could soon see an Obi-Wan spin-off coming to cinema screens near us soon!
