Hobby HQ

Hobby HQ

It may be a short and sweet post this week as the team has been focusing on our new Malifaux release, but no matter how many projects we have on the boil, there's always time for Hobby HQ!

It is to my shame that I'm still trying to paint models that I bought at Salute, and this sniper is taking time to come together. But he's certainly an imposing model, and the space marine head totally works. At the moment he's standing in for a Vindicare - an absolutely terrifying unit now - and the scattering of dark green armoured plates will help him fit in with my Dark Angels.

As well as adding to my Warhammer 40,000 army, I've also continued to work on my Tohaa for Infinity. I managed to pick up some older sculpts, including the original Neema Saatar, who will likely stand in for a Makaul.

There's a lot still to do here, including highlights and basing. But speed is now of the essence. I've signed up for a tournament and, although I'm still undecided on which faction to take, Tohaa and Spiral Corps are definitely in the mix.

The new sculpts are really well defined and go together extremely well. I'm sourcing some exotic plants to help with the basing, to give these aliens more of an unusual aesthetic when compared to my human armies. On the table, they're a wide toolkit of strangeness, offering even veteran players a whole new experience and causing serious problems for all but the most honed and formidable human forces.

That's all from us for this week. What have you been up to? Show us some pictures of your latest work!
