It's Monday, and whether you like your armies to take to the tabletop on round bases or square bases, this week's Frontline News will get you excited!
First of all, the news that took a lot of people by surprise. Games Workshop, who blew up the Old World and created Age of Sigmar out of its jagged, molten chunks have a new project brewing. With Kings of War Third Edition going down a storm with rank-and-file fantasy wargamers, GW have got a studio team together working on the AoS equivalent of the Horus Heresy system. Expect Bretonnians, Skaven, swordsmen of the Empire and more... on square bases!
Moving away from fantasy for a moment, we're still reeling from the Sisters of Battle reveals. We've been waiting for many, many years for these new models and you know what, it was worth it. They're a clear labour of love that have got everyone's head turning.
The design team clearly had fun with this line, too. The flying pulpit sitting on quad flamethrowers is the most 40K thing I have ever seen and will look glorious at the spearhead of an Adeptus Sororitas army.
Forgeworld are continuing to augment our dreadnoughts with even more insanely powerful weapons systems. The Deredeo dreadnought will soon be able to sport air defence missiles and volkite falconet battery, to annihilate heretics in style.
The Chaos Space Marine players amongst you will certainly want to get hold of.Psychic Awakening: Faith and Fury. With a ghoulish host of Daemon Weapons, stratagems, warlord traits and more, your renegade armies will have a wealth of new ways to slaughter their loyalist foes.
If the grimdark isn't your thing, but you still fancy an epic duel of cosmic proportions, the new KeyForge 2 player starter set is now available. Worlds Collide includes two new houses and whole new ways to play this highly enjoyable game. So whether you're a veteran Archon, or a beginner, this box will suit you down to the ground.
Some well-loved characters are set to take to the battlefield in your games of A Song of Ice and Fire! By adding heroes such as Brienne, who allows you to turn a unit into a specialised force of assassins hell-bent on destroying a particular enemy, or Bronn who can buff speed and attacks, you can augment your force to cover up any weaknesses or add a bit of extra bite where necessary.
While you're wondering how these mercenary units are going to change your tactics, don't forget that the game is about to get an update. After 18 months of worldwide gameplay and community feedback, the design team is preparing a wide range of profile tweaks and balancing fixes to help keep this game dynamic and intense.
