It's Monday, time to take a look at what reinforcements are inbound in this week's Frontline News!
In a galaxy far, far away, some massive is lurching across the dunes, spraying hot laser death at anyone who dares question the authority of the Empire. That's right, folks. The Dewback Riders are now available for Star Wars Legion! When FFG first revealed these devastating units, we were impressed by the design and the optional loadouts. Not only can this brute gnash its way through the enemy with ease, its rider can be equipped with all manner of weapons for long range fire support, close-up flamethrower carnage, or high-rate blaster fire.
Now, a giant lizard is quite exciting, but that's nothing compared to the news that Legion is getting Skirmish rules! As much as I love playing massive pitched battles across vast battlefields, my first love has always been skirmish games, in which each trooper has the chance to be a hero. The rules are available to download, and we can't wait to get stuck in!
Staying with Star Wars, Armada players will doubtless be keen to get their hands on the Nadiri Starhawk. With the New Republic hitting its stride, its willingness to build ships designed to take the fight to the empire is exemplified by this tough and well-armed vessel. Able to shoot back when attacked, and featuring classic crew like Wedge Antilles, expect to see this appearing in many fleets!
CMON's A Song of Ice and Fire: The Miniatures Game is undergoing its big update! The '1.5' improvements don't just rebalance some of the awesome units in game, they also adjust some of the core rules to make battles as neat, tidy and decisive as possible. It's the perfect time to do it, too, after such an influx of new units. Players should check out the CMON website for more details!
Everyone's favourite space vampire is back! Mephiston, Chief Librarian of the Blood Angels and self-styled Lord of Death, has been given the Primaris treatment, making him even more formidable. Based on classic Mark Gibbons artwork, this model is absolutely stunning.
If bloodthirsty, plasma-toting psychic vampires aren't powerful enough for you, Forge World has unveiled some new weapons for the Warlord Titans of Adeptus Titanicus. Gatling blasters have a great rate of fire and are effective against smaller targets and lighter titans, vulcan mega-bolters shred shields with ease, and turbo laser destructors pack an almighty punch. You're Warlord will never feel outgunned again - as if it ever did!
So what has caught your eye this week? We'd love to hear how the new update for ASOIAF has affected your unit choice, and which beloved Warhammer 40,000 characters you'd like to see get the Primaris treatment!
