We really don’t have long to wait now until Rogue One hits the big screen, which is very exciting, but there have recently been some revelations that indicate the movie is straying from a few Star Wars traditions that fans have come to expect.
According to Variety, the movie will “most likely not” open with the iconic narrative crawl, disappearing gradually into space. Kathleen Kennedy, Lucasfilm chief, told the publication that they will “probably begin the film in a way that is traditional, with just the title”.
Rogue One will also be the first Star Wars movie that John Williams hasn’t done the score for. The mantle has been handed to Michael Giacchino, who’s best known for composing the Jurassic World score, as well as all three of the new Star Trek reboot soundtracks.
Earlier this year, Hollywood Reporter revealed that the film is set just before Episode IV - A New Hope, with the story apparently ending just ten minutes before the beginning of this much-loved classic.
With so much information being leaked about the forthcoming Rogue One movie, we just can’t wait to get in the cinema and see it for ourselves on 15 December.
